Botox injections were ubiquitous now. People got them for their birthday. They got them for hot dates or vacations. Botox was the new cocaine.

One of the ways I dealt with the 2020-2021 COVID lockdowns was to change locations as often as possible.  For this reason, when a friend in Los Angeles needed someone to sublet her apartment in June 2021, I volunteered.
