BOULDER, COLORADO (1990) "Naropa Institute"
It was back to my car to write poems about how sad I was about Abby and how I missed her and how difficult it was, the boy/girl thing, especially when you were both in the arts ....
In July of 1990, my New York poetry friend Abby [not her real name] was in Boulder, Colorado, visiting friends. I assumed her trip had something to do with the Naropa Institute—which I was curious about—so I asked if I could drive out from Portland and check out the scene. She said sure.
